These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Leyo's mobile applications, websites (including leyo.ai and related Leyo domains), translation tools, Leyo Meet, AI features, communication tools, content, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). The Services are operated by Utopia Technology, LLC ("Leyo," "we," "us," or "our").
By creating an account, joining a Leyo meeting or conversation, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
Leyo helps people learn, communicate, travel, and build relationships across languages and cultures. Depending on the version, plan, device, language, and region available to you, the Services may include:
Some features may be experimental, in beta, or available only to certain users.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use the Services. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Services only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
You may not use the Services if applicable law prohibits you from doing so or if we have previously suspended or terminated your access for violating these Terms.
You agree to provide accurate account information, keep it current, and protect your login credentials. You are responsible for activity through your account unless it was caused by our failure to use reasonable security measures.
If you believe your account has been compromised, contact support@leyo.ai promptly.
You may delete your Leyo account from Settings > Danger Zone > Delete Account. Account deletion is permanent and may remove or anonymize your profile, learning data, messages, content, trips, social connections, and other data associated with your account, subject to the retention exceptions described in our Privacy Policy. Content already shared with other users may remain in their copies, screenshots, exports, or conversation context where applicable.
Deleting your Leyo account does not automatically cancel a subscription billed through Apple, Google, or another payment provider. You must cancel through that provider to prevent future renewal charges.
Leyo uses artificial intelligence and related technologies for translation, transcription, speech, tutoring, recommendations, summaries, cultural explanations, personalization, and other features.
AI-generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, biased, offensive, culturally imperfect, or unsuitable for your circumstances. Language can be nuanced, regional, informal, emotional, and context-dependent. You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on it.
Do not treat Leyo output as professional medical, legal, financial, immigration, safety, mental-health, or other regulated advice. For contracts, medical instructions, legal rights, immigration matters, financial decisions, emergencies, employment decisions, or other high-risk situations, use a qualified professional and an appropriately certified interpreter when needed.
Leyo is a learning and communication aid, not a guarantee of fluency, academic results, travel outcomes, or relationship success.
Where voice, audio, video, transcription, captions, translation, or Leyo Meet features are available, you are responsible for:
Do not secretly record, transcribe, monitor, translate, or summarize people where doing so is prohibited or requires consent you have not obtained.
Internet connections, device permissions, networks, browsers, operating systems, and third-party communication providers can affect call quality and availability. Leyo does not provide emergency calling and must not be used to contact emergency services.
"User Content" means content you submit, upload, say, create, save, or share through the Services, including profile information, messages, prompts, voice or video, photos, files, posts, comments, trip details, learning goals, saved memory, transcripts, translations, notes, feedback, and meeting artifacts.
You keep ownership of your User Content. You grant Leyo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, display, translate, transcribe, summarize, analyze, adapt, and create requested artifacts from User Content as reasonably necessary to:
This license ends when the relevant User Content is deleted from our active systems, except where continued processing or retention is reasonably necessary for backups, legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legitimate business records.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit User Content and allow Leyo to process it as described in these Terms.
Community posts, public profiles, comments, reactions, follows, trip sharing, group conversations, and meeting rooms may make content visible to other people. Other users may copy, save, screenshot, export, forward, or otherwise use content that you share with them. Leyo cannot control copies made outside the Services.
You are responsible for deciding what to share and with whom. Do not post confidential, regulated, private, or sensitive information unless you have the right to share it and understand who can access it.
We may moderate, remove, restrict, or preserve content and may limit accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, comply with law, investigate reports, or protect users and the Services. Moderation is not guaranteed to identify every harmful or inaccurate item.
You may not use the Services to:
Some features require a subscription, paid plan, credit, or other purchase. The price, billing period, included features, and renewal terms shown at purchase are part of these Terms.
Subscriptions may renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date. Purchases made through Apple, Google, Stripe, RevenueCat, or another provider are also governed by that provider's billing, cancellation, and refund rules. Manage or cancel store-billed subscriptions through the applicable App Store or Google Play account.
Except where required by law or expressly stated, fees are non-refundable. We may change plans, prices, usage limits, trials, and promotional offers prospectively. Any price change for an existing auto-renewing subscription will be handled as required by the payment provider and applicable law.
Referral or promotional rewards have no cash value, may be limited, may expire, and may be revoked for abuse, fraud, refunds, or violation of these Terms.
The Services rely on third parties for functions such as cloud hosting, databases, authentication, AI, speech, translation, communications, analytics, error monitoring, notifications, customer support, payments, and subscription management.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Their availability, errors, content, and practices may be outside Leyo's control. If you choose to open a third-party link or connect a third-party service, you are responsible for reviewing its terms.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, retain, and protect information. It is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Leyo and its licensors own the Services, including the software, designs, interfaces, branding, trademarks, text, graphics, workflows, and other materials, except for User Content and third-party content.
These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Services for their intended purposes. They do not transfer ownership of Leyo intellectual property to you.
If you send suggestions, product feedback, survey responses, bug reports, or feature requests, you allow Leyo to use them without restriction or compensation. Do not include confidential information in feedback.
If you proceed with account deletion, Leyo may retain the optional survey response and a limited product-analytics snapshot in a separate deletion-feedback record. That record includes your existing Leyo user ID, full name, and email address for up to 24 months, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
If you believe content on Leyo infringes your copyright or another right, contact support@leyo.ai with enough information for us to investigate. We may remove or restrict content and may terminate repeat infringers where appropriate.
We are actively developing Leyo. We may add, change, limit, suspend, or discontinue features, plans, regions, languages, or integrations. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation or compatibility with every device, network, or jurisdiction.
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk or harm, fail to pay applicable fees, or if action is required by law, platform rules, or a provider. We will provide notice where reasonably practicable and legally permitted.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including provisions concerning retained records, intellectual property, payment obligations, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and disputes.
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEYO DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESS, IMPLIED, AND STATUTORY WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AVAILABILITY, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AND UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION.
LEYO DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY OF AI OUTPUT, TRANSLATIONS, CAPTIONS, TRANSCRIPTS, CULTURAL EXPLANATIONS, RECOMMENDATIONS, LESSONS, TRAVEL INFORMATION, SUMMARIES, OR OTHER GENERATED CONTENT.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Leyo and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, affiliates, agents, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, business interruption, personal injury, emotional distress, or costs of substitute services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Leyo's total liability for all claims relating to the Services or these Terms will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to Leyo for the Services in the 12 months before the claim arose; or (b) USD $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Leyo and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, affiliates, agents, licensors, and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your User Content, misuse of the Services, violation of these Terms, violation of law or third-party rights, or failure to obtain required participant consent.
Before filing a claim, you agree to contact support@leyo.ai and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will try to do the same.
These Terms are governed by the laws that apply to Utopia Technology, LLC and your use of the Services, without giving effect to rules that would require the application of another jurisdiction's laws. Any court proceeding must be brought in a court with lawful jurisdiction over the dispute. Nothing in these Terms deprives you of mandatory consumer protections or a right to bring a claim in another forum when applicable law provides that right.
We may update these Terms as the Services or applicable requirements change. If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as posting the updated Terms, changing the "Last Updated" date, or providing an in-app or email notice.
Your continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective means you accept them. If you do not agree to an update, stop using the Services and delete your account.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent. We may transfer them as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction.
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Leyo regarding the Services unless a separate written agreement applies.
